Affirming Counseling for QTBIPOC

I offer a non-judgmental, compassionate, encouraging environment to assist you through whatever situations you may be confronting. In session we collaboratively explore tools and strategies that can help you feel better about yourself, have better relationships, and experience more joy.

My approach is eclectic, intersectional, and integrative. I utilize a combination of evidence-based techniques and traditional talk-therapy. My work is rooted in an affirming, open-minded, strength-based framework. I operate from an anti-oppression, anti-racist,  trauma-sensitive/healing centered, harm-reduction, and social justice lens.

My services are offered via telemental health. Each session is 50-minutes. I offer a sliding scale honor system of $120-150 based on what you feel comfortable paying. I also accept Aetna, Aetna Student, Cigna, Cigna Student, UnitedHealth and United Oxford.

In Struggle.

I provide psychotherapy to individuals using a bi-cultural, person-centered, trauma-sensitive/healing centered framework. I incorporate Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Counseling and Strength-Based techniques. Together we will collaboratively explore tools and strategies that will help you find healing, feel better about yourself, and experience more joy.

Relate Better.

I provide counseling and coaching to committed couples. I am trained in the research and evidence-based Gottman Method and through that lens, I am able to assist couples with issues relating to intimacy, communication, hurtful arguments, and infidelity.

As a social worker, I am passionate about providing support and care to people across the full spectrum of life experiences.

My background in activism and organizing and my identity as a queer Afro-Latinx femme have a strong influence on my practice.

In my work, I strive to foster a culture that trusts people's agency and their inherent strength to make the best decisions for themselves. I decided to start working in private practice when trying to find a therapist for myself who was a queer person of color. During this time I realized there weren't many  Black and Latinx therapists who were accessible.

My services are available in English, Spanish and Spanglish.
