I offer a non-judgmental, compassionate, encouraging environment to assist you through whatever situations you may be confronting. In session we collaboratively explore tools and strategies that can help you feel better about yourself, have better relationships, and experience more joy.
My approach is eclectic, intersectional and integrative. I utilize a combination of evidence-based techniques and traditional talk-therapy. My work is rooted in an affirming, open-minded, strength-based framework. I operate from a trauma-sensitive/healing centered, harm-reduction and social justice lens.
My services are offered via telemental health. Each session is 50-minutes. I offer a sliding scale honor system of $100-150 based on what you feel comfortable paying. I also accept Aetna, Aetna Student, Cigna, Cigna Student, BCBS, and Medicare.
As a licensed social worker, I am passionate about providing support and care to people across the full spectrum of life experiences.
My background in activism and organizing and my identity as a queer femme afro-Latina have a strong influence on my practice.
In my work, I strive to foster a culture that trusts people's agency and their inherent strength to make the best decisions for themselves. I decided to start working in private practice when trying to find a therapist for myself who was a queer person of color. During this time I realized there weren't many of us out there.
My services are available in English, Spanish and Spanglish.
